The West Virginia University Symphonic Band, a 45-member ensemble comprised of students who are music majors at WVU, will present a concert at the Creative Arts Center, Wednesday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre.

It will be conducted by Dearl J. Drury, John Hendricks, III, Christopher J. Nichter and graduate student Johnny Leonard, III.

Works on the program include: “Tempered Steel” by Charles R. Young; “Aquarium” by Johan de Meij; “Winter Dances” by Brian Balmages; “Diamond Variations” by Robert Jager; and after intermission, “Intrada: Adoration and Praise” by Claude T. Smith; “Ye Banks and Braes O’Bonnie Doon” by Percy Grainger; “Balkanya: Three Balkanese Dances” by Jan Van der Roose; and “The Blue and The Gray” by Clare Grundman.
