The West Virginia University choral program will present its annual Winter Concert at the Creative Arts Center, Sunday, Dec. 2. The concert will be conducted by Jeffery Redding, who will join the WVU music faculty in January as the new director of choral activities.

The program begins at 3:15 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre and will feature selections from “Messiah, Part I,” “The First Nowell,” “Chichester Psalms,” and other music for the holiday season.

Performers include the University Singers, the Women’s Choir, and the WV Community Choir, accompanied by the WVU Chamber Orchestra.

Special guests will be faculty members soprano Hope Koehler, mezzo soprano Mandy Spivak, tenor Nicholas Perna, bass William Koehler, and organist William Haller.

Tickets are $10 for the general public, $6 for WVU faculty and staff and senior citizens, and $5 for students, children and members of groups of 10 or more.
