Four West Virginia University policies—including one dealing with smoking regulations on the WVU campus -– have been revised and posted online today (April 5) for public comment.

In addition to amending the Health Sciences Center tobacco free policy to apply to the entire WVU campus, based on recommendations from a Smoking Policy Task Force, another deals with updates to the sexual misconduct policy to align with federal guidelines.

Two others that applied to WVU’s former regional campus, WVU at Parkersburg, are being repealed because WVU no longer has rule-making jurisdiction at that campus.

All can be found at: http://bog.wvu.edu/bog_policies_pending_adoption through Wednesday, May 9, for the submission of written comments to: Valerie.Lopez@mail.wvu.edu or Valerie Lopez, Office of the President, West Virginia University, P.O. Box 6201, Morgantown, West Virginia 26506-6201.

Following the comment period, the policies may be revised prior to submission to the WVU Board of Governor’s for approval at the June 7 meeting in Charleston.
