Robert McNabb, an internationally renowned talent management industry executive and West Virginia University alumnus, will be part of the WVU College of Business and Economics 60th Anniversary Speaker Series on April 12.

McNabb is executive vice president of Korn/Ferry International and sits on the Global Operating Committee. He was inducted into the WVU Alumni Association’s Academy of Distinguished Alumni on Feb. 25.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. at Ming Hsieh Hall across the street from the College of Business and Economics in Room G20. A public reception will be held immediately following the event.

For 20 years, McNabb he has been considered a leader and asset in the talent management industry. He is responsible for the institutionalization of Korn/Ferry’s go-to-market strategy and his focus is to drive the transformation of Korn/Ferry into the world’s premier talent management organization.

“Bob McNabb is a very highly successful business executive, and WVU’s business school is honored to have him as a part of our 60th Anniversary Speaker Series,” said Dr. Jose Sartarelli, Milan Puskar Dean at B&E. “The speakers we have had in this series are business executives our students are excited to hear and interact with, and he is a great example of that.

“It always has special meaning when successful WVU alumni are on campus for student-related events. There is no question in my mind that Bob will establish a strong connection with students and all who attend from the University community at this event,” Sartarelli said.

Previously, McNabb was chief executive officer for Futurestep, Korn/Ferry International’s global outsourcing business. He also was president and chief executive officer of Corestaff Services and a senior executive officer with Kelly Services.

Not only does McNabb excel in the work force, but in volunteerism as well. He serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for Vanderbilt University, serves on the Council of Overseers for the Jones School of Management at Rice University and is an advisory board member of WVU’s Eberly College of Arts & Sciences. McNabb also served as a director of the Corporate Services Group PLC and HotJobs.com.

A native of Charleston, McNabb was heavily involved at WVU as a student. The 1970 graduate of the Eberly College of Arts & Sciences was a member of Phi Kappa Psi, Mountain Honorary and served on the WVU Athletic Council.
