Members of West Virginia University’s Student Government Association have agreed to re-vote for 2011-12 positions in the association.

The re-vote will take place on Wednesday (April 20) at various locations across the University. The vote is in response to voter fraud that was allegedly committed by members of both the Fusion and Pirate parties. The violations occurred during the original voting process April 5-7.

The re-vote will be closely monitored. Students will be able to cast their ballot on computers at the following locations:

• Student Recreation Center front desk, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Mountainlair Vandalia Lounge, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Health Sciences Center Hostler Auditorium, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Engineering lobby, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• College of Law lobby, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Anyone needing to vote using a paper ballot can do so at the Student Organizations Services office in the Mountainlair between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Students must present their WVU IDs at the time of voting.

Members of each party have agreed that all candidates will not be closer than 50 feet to any polling location, no handouts are allowed; but candidates will be allowed to wear their campaign t-shirts. No banners are allowed. Campaigning through social media will be the only tactic that will be allowed during the re-vote.

Fines of no less than $100 will be charged to any student that is found in violation.

Winners will be announced at 12 p.m. on Thursday (April 21) in the Vandalia Lounge.
