West Virginia University will show a film about the life and work of astronaut Ronald E. McNair on Thursday, Jan. 27.

McNair died in the 1986 Challenger space shuttle explosion.

“Dr. Ronald E. McNair: Legacy of Achievement” will be shown from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre. The film is being shown in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Challenger shuttle tragedy.

It will be presented by Betty Mei, assistant director of the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program at WVU.

The event, sponsored by the WVU Office of Multicultural Programs in the Office of Student Life, is free and open to the public. Pizza will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
