Critically-acclaimed Christian and pop songstress Amy Grant is set to grace the West Virginia University Creative Arts Center stage on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the WVU Mountainlair and Creative Arts Center box offices, online at ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 304-293-SHOW or 800-745-3000.

Amy Grant, known to some as the unofficial queen of Christian pop, has done more than any other contemporary artist to put spiritual pop on the map. Her poignant tunes have earned her six Grammys, numerous Dove Awards, 10 Top 40 pop singles and 17 Top 40 Adult Contemporary singles, as well as the recognition of being the first Christian contemporary artist to score a platinum record and the second to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Grant’s extensive repertoire, which includes songs such as “Baby Baby” and “Father’s Eyes,” have opened the doors for other artists to incorporate their faith into their music and still be successful, a milestone made accessible by Grant’s tenacious journey through the charts. As far as her well-received new album Somewhere Down the Road goes, Grant says: ”...my hope is just for those songs to provide companionship, remind myself and whoever else is listening what’s important” —a goal that does not go unmet by her moving lyrics and accessible melodies.

Tickets are on sale now at the WVU Mountainlair and Creative Arts Center box offices. Ticket prices range from $37 to $67, depending on seat location. WVU Students can purchase tickets for $27 with a valid WVU Student I.D. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 304-293-SHOW and 800-745-3000.
