The WVU Faculty Chamber Ensemble will present its first concert of the season, Monday, Sept. 27, with a program featuring works by Georg Philipp Telemann, John Cage and Fr�d�ric Chopin.

The concert begins at 8:15 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall (200A) of the Creative Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will open with “Tafel–Musik” by Telemann (1681-1767), followed by “4’33”,” which is the best-known work of American composer John Cage (1912-1992).

Following a brief intermission, the ensemble will perform “Sonata in G Minor, Op. 65” by Frederick Chopin (1810-1849), in honor of the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth.

Performers on the concert will be music faculty members Cynthia Anderson, oboe; Francesca Arnone, flute; Lynn Hileman, bassoon; William Skidmore, cello; pianist Christopher Wilkinson and guest pianist Carol Beall.
