West Virginia University students have a chance to learn what Greek life at WVU is all about.

WVU’s annual Meet the Greeks will be held Monday, Sept. 13 from 4-6 p.m. on the Mountainlair green.

Each year the three Greek leadership organizations, Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council, hold a meet and greet session for all interested students to socialize with members of Greek life.

“Meet the Greeks gives students an opportunity to learn more about Greek life at WVU and what it has to offer without going through formal recruitment,” said Ashley Staggers, student program advisor for Panhellenic and WVU sororities.

For two hours the Mountainlair green will be host to an estimated 28 fraternities and sororities. Through creative displays and interacting with the brothers and sisters, curious students will be able to get a feel for what each organization has to offer in terms of community service, scholarship and leadership opportunities.
An estimated 2,000 students are anticipated to attend.
