Are we alone in the universe? At a recent American Astronomical Society Conference, astronomers and other scientists said they are on the verge of finding Earth-like planets orbiting other stars, a key step in determining the answer.

D.J. Pisano, an assistant professor of physics in WVU’s Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, is available to comment on planets, known as ”’exoplanets.’‘

Dr. Pisano is also an adjunct assistant astronomer at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank.
