WHAT: The 7,000-square-foot Mountaineer Station features a 500-space parking garage for both permit and short-term use, a commuter student lounge with lockers, interior bicycle storage and showers, a waiting area for Mountain Line and campus bus passengers, direct access to the Health Sciences Center Personal Rapid Transit Station and more. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony after the speakers’ remarks, an open house with refreshments, and various alternative transportation organizations, such as the Morgantown Bicycle Board, will have information handouts.

WHO: WVU Director of Transportation and Parking Hugh Kierig will introduce speakers U.S. Rep. Alan Mollohan, D-W.Va.; WVU President James P. Clements; City of Morgantown Mayor Bill Byrne; Associate Vice President of Facilities Management Joe Fisher; WVU Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee Chair Nancy Lohmann.
