The West Virginia University Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) has issued its latest set of West Virginia County Data Profiles.

These profiles contain detailed economic and demographic statistics on the state’s 55 counties and the following metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas: Beckley, Bluefield, Charleston, Clarksburg, Cumberland, Fairmont, Hagerstown-Martinsburg, Huntington-Ashland, Morgantown, Oakhill, Parkersburg-Marietta, Point Pleasant, Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, Weirton-Steubenville, Wheeling and Winchester. Profiles are also available for the state of West Virginia and the nation.

These profiles are a great resource. They include much of the economic and demographic information available for the states counties, metropolitan areas, the state, and the nation,said Randy Childs, economist in the BBER , located in the College of Business and Economics.The County Data Profiles help businesses, state and local policymakers, and analysts gauge the economic and demographic trends driving their economies.

Individuals can find information about their county on such things as income, employment, population, and commuting to name a few. This information can be compared with other counties in the state or the nation. The profiles contain information from a number of sources in a convenient easy-to-use format.
