WVU classes to be canceled until 10:30 a.m. on Morgantown Campus due to weather, road conditions

In-person classes will be canceled until 10:30 a.m. on West Virginia University’s Morgantown campus Wednesday (Jan. 20) due to inclement weather and road conditions. In-person instruction with a start time prior to 10:30 a.m. are canceled today. Online classes and those in hybrid form that are online this morning are not affected by the delay. The remainder of the University, including buses and COVID-19 testing, will operate on a normal schedule.

WVU’s Lyons to chair NCAA Division I Council

West Virginia University Director of Athletics Shane Lyons has added another chairmanship to his impressive resume of accomplishments. He was recently appointed chair of the NCAA Division I Council, which is responsible for the day-to-day decision making for the entire organization. It consists of athletics directors, athletics administrators, senior woman administrators, faculty athletics representatives and student-athletes.

WVU receives grant to pilot drinking water testing program

Jason Hubbart, an educator and researcher at West Virginia University, is acutely aware of the importance of quality drinking water in a society and for its people and he is compelled to help others understand that as well.
