WVU researchers study factors that affect stream water quality

Clean water is indispensable for human health, and human activity plays a large role water quality. West Virginia University researchers have compared that circular relationship in watersheds affected by different water movement and external factors to identify the dominant controls of stream water quality and ecosystem health.

WVU recognizes six faculty members as Foundation Outstanding Teachers for 2019

This year’s honorees are Manal AlNatour, Dana Huebert Lima, Kimberly Meigh, Joshua Osbourn, Audra Slocum and Andrea Taliaferro. Established in 1985 by the WVU Foundation, the Outstanding Teaching Award honors faculty who are particularly effective and inspiring teachers, as well as faculty who have established patterns of exceptional innovation in their teaching methods, course and curriculum design and instructional tools.

WVU partners with Google for Applied Computing Series

To be successful in today’s workforce, students need to be proficient at analyzing and applying data. Thanks to a partnership with Google, West Virginia University will now offer a series of introductory data science courses as part of its curriculum.

WVU’s Talent West Virginia names inaugural winners

West Virginia University's College of Creative Arts hosted Talent West Virginia, a statewide musical talent contest and fundraiser April 6. Funds raised through the competition will support West Virginia Public Theatre and its mission to bring the arts to all West Virginians.
