WVU launches inaugural Hazing Prevention Week, convenes special task force

A new Hazing Prevention Task Force, spearheaded by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, with members representing several different units on campus, has planned a full slate of activities to raise awareness around the issue of hazing and the impact it has on campus, Jan. 29-Feb. 2.

West Virginia University Office of the Provost reconfigures WVU Online and Teaching and Learning Commons to ensure optimal services for students and faculty

The Office of the Provost announced today that the Teaching and Learning Commons will be realigning with WVU Online under the leadership of Dean Keith Bailey. As part of this move, Bailey will also be named the assistant provost for teaching and learning. Tracey Beckley, current executive director of the TLC, will become the assistant dean for teaching and learning. This expanded role will encompass online program planning as well as continued growth of services offered by the TLC.

WVU facilities master update features 16 projects under active consideration

With five years remaining on its current master facilities plan, West Virginia University has 16 projects that are active, or under consideration, across the system, ranging from a residence hall at WVU Tech in Beckley to better facilities at Jackson’s Mill to remodeling of space in Morgantown, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Rob Alsop said today (Jan. 24).
