West Virginia University President Gordon Gee is on the road again…and again…and again this summer.

He recently visited Raleigh, Mercer and Summers counties as part of his 55-county tour of West Virginia. Gee said ‘hi’ – or ‘how how’ – to WVU Extension 4-H campers, kids and volunteers engaged in Extension’s Energy Express program, WVU alumni, local elected officials, a college president and many others.

You can check out a video from the trip at this link.

“The message I am bringing in each community is that West Virginians are important to the vitality of our institution,” Gee said about his tour. “And in turn, our institution—a research, land-grant university—is important to the vitality of West Virginians.

“Therefore, it is incredibly important for us to weave a common gold-and-blue thread from Weirton to Welch and all points between.”
