Drury to resign as director of Mountaineer Marching Band

Jay Drury, who has led the West Virginia University Mountaineer Marching Band to multiple national appearances over the last 11 years, has announced his resignation as director of athletic bands and associate director of bands, effective June 1.

Football season opener moved to Sunday, Sept. 3

West Virginia University and Virginia Tech have announced that their season-opening football game at FedExField in Landover, Maryland, has been moved to Sunday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally by ABC.

WVU engineering students deliver hope to community members in Prenter

Nine members from West Virginia University’s Chapter of Engineers Without Borders traveled to Boone County during spring break in an attempt to provide relief to residents of Prenter, who have been living without a maintained water source for more than 10 years.

Learning to lead: 10 years of Leadership Studies at WVU

Over the last decade, the Leadership Studies Program at West Virginia University has grown from having six graduates in 2006, to approximately 60 graduates in 2016. This semester, students, faculty and staff in the Leadership Studies program are celebrating the program’s 10th anniversary as well as what it means to be a leader.
