National Travel announces cancellation of WVU Sweet 16 travel package

Due to lack of participation, National Travel announced Tuesday (March 25) that the West Virginia University Alumni Association’s charter trip to the 2008 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 game in Phoenix has been canceled.

“Sometimes there are unique challenges when a package is offered on such short notice,” said Ted Lawson, president of National Travel. “At this point in time, it is most prudent to work with interested parties on an individual basis to meet their travel needs.”

National Travel representatives will contact fans who expressed an interest in the package and assist them in making alternative travel plans.
