Garrison to introduce text alert system at WVU

WHO: West Virginia University President Mike Garrison, WVU Police Chief Bob Roberts, Student Government Association President David Kirkpatrick

WHAT: Announcement of the selection and implementation of a text alert system for WVU students, faculty and staff.

WHEN: 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12 (Laptops will be set up so that students and employees can sign up for the free service from 9 a.m.-noon.)

WHERE: Vandalia Lounge, Mountainlair

WHY: To discuss an initiative that will allow WVU to communicate vital information to the campus community quickly and effectively, and invite students, faculty and staff to sign up for the system.
