WVU president-elect to participate in public forum Monday evening

West Virginia University President-elect Mike Garrison will participate in another public forum at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, in the Vandalia Lounge of the Mountainlair, now that students and others who were away for the summer are back on campus.

It will be the seventh in a series of open forums in which Garrison has participated. He will become WVU’s 22nd president on Sept. 1.

“I strongly invite students, faculty and staff all across campus to come and share their ideas on how we can make WVU better,” Garrison said. “The transition process has presented a great opportunity for us to listen. We’ve had excellent participation so far in the forums, and I want a lot of students to join in the conversation as well.”

Monday night’s forum will be moderated by Mindy Walls, director of the WVU College of Business and Economics’ Entrepreneurship Center.

A live webcast of the event will be available at http://transition.wvu.edu/conversation for those who cannot attend the forum. For details on upcoming public forums or to view the president-elect’s official blog, go to the WVU Presidential Transition Web site at http://transition.wvu.edu/
