Tuition and fee increases at the two campuses were based on several factors, said
Provost Gerald Lang. They include the need to fund additional full-time faculty; faculty and staff salary increases; and off-campus course offerings. For CTC at Tech, the increases also address recruitment and retention of students and facility enhancements.
The WVU at Parkersburg and Tech Community and Technical College fee packages are due to the Community and Technical College Council by April 7. The BOG also passed a resolution urging the CTC Council to adopt the fee packages in whole, as presented.
Tuition and fee increases for WVU’s main campus, Potomac State College of WVU and WVU Institute of Technology will likely be decided at the April 13 BOG meeting in Morgantown.
