WHAT: An event to announce the recipients of WVU’s top scholarship
WHEN: 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 11
WHERE: Governor's Reception Room, State Capitol, Charleston
NOTE: At the ceremony, five of the state’s outstanding high school seniors will be named Foundation Scholars, an honor reserved exclusively for West Virginians. The award, valued at approximately $50,000, pays for four years of educational and living expenses, plus additional funds for study abroad, internships or other educational experiences. It is supported by the WVU Foundation Inc.
FOR TV STATIONS: WVU Television Productions will provide taped copies of press conference highlights to stations that cannot attend. Call Bill Nevin, external communications manager, 304-293-5562, with questions or to request a copy of highlights from the ceremony.
