Local information technology firm to donate biometric equipment to WVU
WHAT: Gift of unique biometric equipment from a local information technology firm to West Virginia University’s Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering
WHEN: Thursday, March 10, 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: G-75 Engineering Sciences Building, Evansdale campus
PARKING: Areas 40 and 60 across from the National Research Center for Coal and Energy
DETAILS: Biometrics is the use of unique identifying characteristics such as fingerprints, retina and voice scans to distinguish individuals from one another. The equipment being donated by the local firm will enhance WVU’s status as a leader in this field of research.
