E-poet, critic to speak on digital writing at WVU
A poet and critic in the forefront of the electronic literary movement will speak at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at West Virginia University.
Loss Pequeno Glazier will lecture on "Digital Poetics: Writing for a Digital Age" in the Mountainlair’s Mountaineer Room. The event, rescheduled from an earlier date, is free to the public.
Glazier is director of the ElectronicPoetryCenter at State University of New York at Buffalo, an extensive resource for innovative and digital poetry. He is a faculty member of SUNY Buffalo’s poetics program and is affiliated with the school’s media study program.
He is the author of "Digital Poetics," "Small Press: An Annotated Guide," "Leaving Loss Glazier," "Parts" and numerous other works that have appeared both in print and on the Web. Recent works include "Viz Études," a series of performances that present a reading and projection of a number of visual, kinetic, text and JavaScript-based compositions.
