West Virginia University - News and Information ServicesThe West Virginia University Laureate Wind Quintet will present a concert at the Creative Arts Center Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 8:15 p.m. in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre. The event is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
Featured in the program will be faculty members Joyce Catalfano, flute; Cynthia Anderson, oboe; John Weigand, clarinet; Peter Kolkay, bassoon; and Virginia Thompson, horn. They will be joined by Dr. James Miltenberger, pianist.
The program will include “Lament and Game” (1976) by Damon Short; “Quintetto, Op. 91, No. 3,” by Anton Reicha; and “Rhythms and Rituals for Piano and Wind Quintet “by Pittsburgh composer and WVU music alumna Nancy Galbraith.
