West Virginia University - News and Information ServicesLegendary folk singer Bob Dylan will perform at the West Virginia University Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. at the Coliseum Blue Gate, all Ticketmaster outlets and on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
Dylan is unquestionably one of the most influential figures in the history of folk and popular music. His 1997 album, "Time Out of Mind," garnered him a Grammy for Album of the Year, and his recent single "Times Have Changed" won him both an Academy and a Golden Globe award.
His trademark voice is unmistakable. His first album, simply titled "Bob Dylan," has been followed by four decades of hits. His well-known protest song, "Blowin' In The Wind," released in 1963 and then re-recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary, brought him both national and international attention.
"Knockin' On Heaven's Door" was released in 1973 -- a decade later -- and his latest album, "Love And Theft," which Rolling Stone magazine describes as a return to "classic Dylan" was released this month.
