Hazel Ruby McQuain to be honored Friday for WVU College of Law gift

On Friday, Sept. 14, the West Virginia University College of Law will honor one of Morgantown's most prominent citizens for her contributions to the law school.

The Hazel Ruby McQuain Dean's Endowment Fund will receive formal recognition at a 3 p.m. dedication ceremony in the WVU Law Center lobby.

For more than five decades, Mrs. McQuain has been a leader in civic, church and community development activities in Morgantown and the surrounding area.

Her generous endowment to the law school assists with support of both the Office of the Dean and the law library. A group of the Law Center's administrative offices has been designated The Hazel Ruby McQuain College of Law Dean Suite, in recognition of her support in this area.

WVU President David C. Hardesty, Jr. and WVU Foundation President and CEO F. Duke Perry are among the speakers at Friday’s event.

The endowment fund was made possible by the Hazel Ruby McQuain Charitable Trust.
