American Red Cross holds emergency WVU blood drives
National emergency declared

The American Red Cross sponsored an emergency blood drive Tuesday ( Sept. 11), in West Virginia University’s Boreman Hall Residence Hall on the downtown campus.

"Due to the terrorists attacks in Washington, D.C., and New York, a national blood emergency has been declared," said Suzan Clemens, American Red Cross donor resources field representative.

"We are urging that all those who are eligible attend this blood drive," Clemens said. "Blood of all types is desperately needed to help the survivors of this terrorist attack."

Other emergency blood drives will be scheduled. Times, dates and locations will be posted to this page when available.
