Hardesty to describe 'The New West Virginia University' in Sept. 10 address

West Virginia University’s rapid evolution into a institution with teaching, research and service efforts that meet state citizens’ and students’ needs in the 21st century will be the theme of President David C. Hardesty Jr.’s State of the Campus address Monday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. at the National Research Center for Coal and Energy (Evansdale Campus) Assembly Rooms A&B.

Hardesty will highlight strides the University has made recently in such areas as academic expectations, facilities development, technology, economic impact and private fundraising. He will also make predictions about trends that may affect the University’s future.

The annual State of the Campus address focuses primarily on issues affecting the Morgantown campus.

Faculty Senate will meet immediately following the president’s remarks.
