WVU, Student Body presidents to help build 'Toy Mountain' for local kids

WHO: West Virginia University President David C. Hardesty Jr., Student Government President Charlie Battleson, representatives from various local nonprofit agencies

WHAT: Presidents Hardesty and Battleson will hold a brief news conference and place some toys on top of Toy Mountain.

WHEN: Noon, Wednesday, Dec. 10

WHERE: WVU Mountainlair Food Court

BACKGROUND: During the week of Dec. 8, WVU Student Organization Services will collect and build a giant "mountain" of toys to distribute to needy children during the holiday season. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to drop off toys at the Mountainlair Food Court or Student Organizations office. Donations will also be accepted at the Dec. 13 WVU-Duquesne men's basketball game at the WVU Coliseum.
