West Virginia University - News and Information ServicesIf the idea of spending a summer at an amusement park or along a scenic river – and getting paid for it – sounds appealing, students will want to attend the Summer Jobs Expo sponsored by West Virginia University's Career Services Center Job Location and Development Office.
The job fair will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Mountainlair ballrooms and feature nearly 50 employers, including camps, parks and resorts.
The expo is a great opportunity to meet and informally talk with recruiters from a variety of companies and government agencies about full- and part-time employment and internship opportunities, said Bob Kent, director of the Career Services Center .
“Come in between classes, come early, and plan to spend a lot of time at the expo,” he said. “Bring a friend, or two or three.”
No registration is required, and the event is free to WVU students, Kent added.
A list of employers scheduled to participate is available online at www.wvu.edu/~careersc/JobLocationDevelopment/JLDExpo.html .
