WVU English department presents ‘Writing Across Borders’

How does culture play out in writing? How are teachers shaped by cultural preferences? How do you evaluate international student writing with that of a native speaker?

On Feb. 27, the WVU Writing Center and the Intensive English Program will host a brown bag lunch and viewing of “Writing Across Borders,” a short film about working with international students and their writing. A discussion session will follow to answer these questions and more.

The viewing will be from noon-1 p.m. in the WVU Writing Center room, 44 Stansbury Hall on the Downtown Campus.

Space for the viewing is limited. Please RSVP to teaton@mix.wvy.edu . Refreshments and dessert will be provided.
