WVU's Mountaineer mascot has been part of the cultural landscape in Morgantown and West Virginia for generations. The Mountaineer officially turns 70 this year, and several mascots plan on coming back to mark the birthday. While they're here, they'll also help WVU celebrate Mountaineer Week (Nov. 3-12), the University's annual celebration of all things Appalachian.
