July 31st, 2012George Esper's legacy as a foreign correspondent will live on at the WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism thanks to the generosity of another distinguished WVU alumnus, Joe Steranka. Steranka, CEO of The Professional Golfers' Association of America and a 1979 graduate of the School of Journalism, endowed the George Esper International Student Enhancement Fund in June. -

The film tells the story of Argentina?s ?Dirty War,? when a military dictatorship controlled the country. -

February 13th, 2012Six WVU Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism seniors are leading a campaign to increase volunteerism and strengthen the presence of the Center for Civic Engagement on all three WVU campuses. -

War reporting pioneer and beloved WVU journalism professor dies at 79
February 3rd, 2012George Esper, Ogden Newspapers visiting professor at the WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism, died Thursday night, according to family members. Esper had been living in Massachusetts and was struggling with several health issues. -
Six public relations seniors in the P.I. Reed School of Journalism are using skills learned in the classroom to help improve Fairmont?s economy. They have teamed up with the Fairmont City Planner and Mainstreet Fairmont to create a Buy Local campaign for the city.

WVU School of Journalism announces four new scholarships
January 27th, 2012The Madelyn Jeanne Rupinsky WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism Scholarship is one of four new scholarships established at the School since the Spring semester began. Others include the Frank and Rebekah Ahrens School of Journalism Scholarship; The Ralph and Janet Izard School of Journalism Scholarship; and the Dr. Elizabeth A. Atwater School of Journalism Scholarship.
