WVU CPASS Inaugural Golf Classic features celebrity golfers and sport auction items

University faculty member recognized for leadership in physical education curriculum
March 9th, 2012Lynn D. Housner, associate dean and professor in WVU's College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, will receive the 2012 Curriculum and Instruction Honor Award and the Physical Education Teacher Education Honor Award from the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. -
Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz, an expert in the long term neurological issues related to playing sport will visit the WVU campus on Thursday, March 22 to discuss "The Science & Technology of Sport Concussion: Translating Data Collection into Concussion Prevention and Management." His talk, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for at 7:30 p.m. in Room 1909 of the Health Sciences Center.

He is recognized as one of the world's foremost authorities on wheelchair design, and for innovation and leadership in engineering and education. -

January 12th, 2012More than 50,000 students in 30 West Virginia schools will join state and community leaders to celebrate West Virginia Physical Activity Day on Thursday, Jan. 19. Statewide activities will coincide with the introduction of the Active 2015: WV Physical Activity Plan on the same day at the Capitol Rotunda. The plan is supported by WVU's College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. -
