Graduation cords for veterans available for pick-up April 24-May 10
April 19th, 2013WVU is proud to formally recognize current and former military personnel taking part in the 2013 May Commencement. Red, white and blue cords will be made available to service members who show proof of service at one of two locations: the Office of University Events on the third floor of Purinton House and the WVU Veterans Office on the second floor of the Mountainlair. Cords will be available April 24-May 10 during business hours. -
Before leaving the University, seniors are invited to celebrate one last time as part of the Senior Send-off: A Zero-Year Reunion?a special event for graduates hosted by the WVU Alumni Association and the WVU Division of Student Affairs at The Erickson Alumni Center on April 25.

WVU to award honorary degrees to four exemplary Mountaineers
April 26th, 2012Four people who each embody the Mountaineer essence will receive honorary degrees from WVU during Commencement exercises May 11-13: Gregory S. Babe, an engineer who rose to the top of the Bayer Corp.; Ming Hsieh, also an engineer and the namesake of Ming Hsieh Hall; G. Ogden Nutting, a longtime leader in West Virginia newspaper publishing; and Stuart M. Robbins, a financial expert who built one of the top equity businesses in the world. -
