April 30th, 2013Two students in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at WVU have earned fellowships through the National Energy Technology Laboratory's University Turbine Systems Research Program. Kevin Luo of Morgantown, W.Va., and Eric Fabozzi of Buffalo, N.Y., will begin their fellowships in May. -

WVU offers first-of-its-kind Process Safety Boot Camp to chemical engineering students

WVU's Song Earns National Science Foundation CAREER Award

A $535,694 Faculty Early Career Development award from the National Science Foundation will allow WVU's Xueyan Song to investigate ways to improve the sustainability of our energy infrastructure through waste heat recovery. -

Statler College welcomes students from Mexico
April 15th, 2013Victor Mucino of WVU's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering has led teams of students to Queretaro, Mexico to meet and partner with Mexican students since the 1990s. The Department's Industrial Outreach Program pairs WVU students with Mexican students to work on solving practical problems often seen in industry. This semester, for the first time, Mexican students came to WVU. -
WVU's Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources receives software donation from ANSYS
April 11th, 2013WVU's Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is the recipient of a software bundle donation from ANSYS Inc., a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes. The technology will be used for research and teaching in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. -
As part of an effort to boost interest among talented students in science, technology, engineering and math programs, WVU's Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is partnering with The Edventure Group to promote STEM learning environments in several Preston County schools this fall.
