Wadsworths endow doctoral fellowships at WVU
February 25th, 2013Clarksburg, W.Va. natives Maurice and JoAnn Wadsworth, have continued their history of giving to the WVU's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with a gift of stock valued at $209,243. The gift will be used to create the Wadsworth Graduate Fellowship, which will benefit doctoral candidates studying in the discipline. -
Facemire-Roll Scholarship to benefit accounting and finance students at WVU
February 21st, 2013Rob and Penni Roll, both of whom earned undergraduate accounting degrees from WVU, have established the Facemire-Roll Scholarship through a gift of $105,000 to the College of Business and Economics. The endowment will provide scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in accounting and finance. -
Donor seeks to perpetuate spirit of support through gifts to WVU
February 20th, 2013Bart Aitken and his wife, Tamara, pledged $100,000 to WVU's Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering to create the Robert L. and Pauline Aitken Scholarship. In a separate gift, the coupled pledged $50,000 to create the Bart A. and Tamara Aitken Endowment. -
WVU alumnus to deliver lecture on leadership at engineering school
February 13th, 2013Gary Christopher, a WVU alumnus and an expert in executive leadership, will present a lecture at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at WVU's Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. -

January 22nd, 2013The family and friends of Rita R. LeHere, formerly of Grafton, W.Va., have established a scholarship in her memory at WVU's College of Education and Human Services. -
WVU's College of Human Resources has changed its name to better reflect the educational work and focus of the faculty, staff and students there, dean Lynne Schrum said. Its new name is the College of Education and Human Services.
