An original documentary�highlighting the�life of retired Secret Service agent Robert DeProspero focuses on his career as head of security during the Reagan administration. The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 1) in CPASS room G-06, is hosted by the West Virginia University College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.

A Morgantown native, CPASS Hall of Fame and WVU Academy of Distinguished Alumni member, DeProspero will answer questions following the film presentation which is free and open to the public. �

As a former assistant director and special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division, United States Secret Service, DeProspero was responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the protection of U.S. presidents and members of their family. He was assigned to protect former Presidents Eisenhower, Johnson, Ford, Carter and Reagan.

DeProspero holds numerous awards including United States Treasury Meritorious Award for Extraordinary Performance, Special Achievement Award and Outstanding West Virginia Italian-American Award. He earned a Bachelor of Physical Education (1959) and a Master of Education (1960) from WVU.

DeProspero is the former president of O’Gara Protective Services, Inc., a multi-million dollar organization providing security counsel to governments and corporations.
