West Virginia University has partnered with Fresh Hospitality, the same developers who operate the restaurants in Evansdale Crossing, to bring new food and beverage options to campus.

The Market, a new cafe located in the WVU Health Sciences Center, will be holding its grand opening on Wednesday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Market opened earlier this semester and brings three new restaurants to the HSC Campus; Little Donkey, Hugh Baby’s and EiO & The Hive. The cafe gives students, employees and the community the options of healthier and affordable food choices.

“Creating the new Market at the Health Sciences Center is a real step forward for WVU,” said Clay Marsh, M.D., Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences. “It’s not just a place to get some healthy food. It’s a meeting place for students and faculty, and a place that connects us to the people who grow and prepare our food. This fits right in with our priority of improving the quality of life for people who study and work at WVU.”

The ribbon-cutting and speakers will begin at 11a.m. The event is open to the public and free food samples along with giveaways will be provided.
