The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics will accept nominations for the 2016 Class of its Roll of Distinguished Alumni through June 30.

Outstanding individuals chosen to be inducted will be honored on Sept. 30 at luncheon ceremonies on the WVU campus. The induction event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center. The Roll of Distinguished Alumni was founded during the business school’s 60th anniversary year in 2011, and adds inductees each year to recognize the tremendous success of its graduates.

“Graduates of the College of Business and Economics live around the world and have made significant contributions in the areas of business, government and academia,” said Nancy McIntyre, College of Business and Economics interim dean. “It is our honor and privilege to recognize the outstanding successes of our alumni, and the B&E Roll of Distinguished Alumni is one way we do exactly that.”

The Roll of Distinguished Alumni has recognized 26 individuals since its inception. Last year’s inductees included William Bayless, Jr., co-founder, president and CEO of American Campus Communities, Inc.; Marc Chini, executive vice president and human resources leader of Synchrony Financial; Andrew Peters, chief safety officer for AECOM; and Penelope Roll, executive vice president and the chief financial officer of Ares Management L.P.’s Direct Lending Group, and the chief financial officer of Ares Capital Corporation.

Nominees must have graduated from the College of Business and Economics, must be at least 10 years post-degree, and must have distinguished themselves by success in business or life at the regional, national or international level.
