This summer, children can solve crimes with science, play drums all day, or save the planet through engineering at one of West Virginia University’s summer enrichment programs for elementary, middle and high school students.

“The ‘learning by doing’ nature of these programs create an experience that is both engaging and educational,” said Dr. Greg Strimel, director of K12 Initiatives. “In these experiential learning environments, students develop their academic and social skills through authentic activities that require critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and decision-making.”

There are more than 100 camps or activities offered this summer. Please visit http://k12.wvu.edu to seek opportunities that fit your child’s interests. Early registration is encouraged, as many camps reach capacity quickly.
