If innovation and entrepreneurship drive you, join TechConnect West Virginia and TransTech/Industries of the Future-WV (IOF-WV) for Innovation & Entrepreneurship Day on Jan. 27 at the State Capitol in Charleston.

Now in its fourth year, this “Day at the Capitol” features organizations, companies and people that work to advance innovation and entrepreneurship across our state. The event is a great opportunity to network around the Capitol Rotunda with legislators, key state officials, manufacturers, innovators, entrepreneurs and colleagues. You may also set up exhibits in the House and Senate hallways to demo products and provide information on your company or organization.

“It’s a chance to brainstorm with colleagues about new ideas, initiatives and policies that help create jobs, deploy innovative technologies and promote new business development,” said Carl Irwin, director of TransTech/IOF-WV at West Virginia University.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the exhibit hall will open at 8:30 a.m. At 12:30 p.m., a luncheon will be served in the lower level Capitol Rotunda.

At 12:30 p.m. TransTech/Industries of the Future-WV will announce and celebrate the 2016 winners of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Industrial Energy Efficiency and the Governor’s Award for Leadership in Green Advanced Manufacturing. The event will conclude at 3:30 p.m.
