West Virginia University’s annual back-to-school concert and related activities known as FallFest will return this fall on a new day and time. The traditional Monday night concert will be replaced with a Sunday, Aug. 16, afternoon/evening street festival, including popular bands and other entertainment.

It is all part of Welcome Week, which will include a new Saturday night (Aug. 15) extravaganza at Milan Puskar Stadium, designed to introduce the freshmen class to the spirited traditions of WVU. On Sunday, Aug. 16, the freshmen class will come together at the Coliseum for the Mountaineer Welcome where they will kick off their academic careers.

The activities help connect students with friends and classmates after the summer recess, as well as engage students in making new connections.

More details will be announced as these events draw nearer.
