The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics will continue to accept nominations for the 2015 Class of its Roll of Distinguished Alumni through Aug. 7.

Outstanding individuals will be honored on Oct. 9 at luncheon induction ceremonies at the Erickson Alumni Center on the WVU campus. The Roll of Distinguished Alumni was founded during the business school’s 60th anniversary year in 2011, and adds inductees each year to recognize the tremendous success of its graduates.

“B&E graduates work in countless companies and organizations around the globe in areas such as business, government and academia,” said Nancy McIntyre, College of Business and Economics interim dean. “Our alumni represent incredible success stories, and the Roll of Distinguished Alumni is one way we celebrate those successes.”

The Roll of Distinguished Alumni has recognized 22 individuals since its inception. Last year’s inductees included James R. Lynch, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, PepsiCo Americas Beverages; William M. Sheedy, Executive Vice President, Visa; D. Stephen Walker, retired president and chief operating officer of Walker Machinery; and Samuel Weese, retired president and CEO of The American College and former West Virginia Insurance Commissioner.

Nominees must have graduated from the College of Business and Economics, must be at least 10 years post-degree, and must have distinguished themselves by success in business or life at the regional, national or international level.
