The West Virginia Business Hall of Fame, which is hosted by the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University, is accepting nominations for individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions in national and/or international businesses, state-based enterprises, and entrepreneurial and family businesses.

Nominations for the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame will remain open through July 31. Induction ceremonies will be held Nov. 5 at WVU’s Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown.

“The Hall of Fame recognizes people with strong West Virginia ties who have had a significant impact on the landscape of business in this state,” said Nancy McIntyre, College of Business and Economics interim dean. “We recognize these leaders because they are extraordinary in their commitment and success, as it relates to West Virginia. They are also fantastic role models for students and younger generations everywhere. These individuals demonstrate a variety of characteristics of success we’d like to see in ourselves.”

The Hall of Fame has recognized individuals since 2001, and 60 individuals have been inducted to date. Last year’s inductees included Frank Alderman, then-CEO of MedExpress; George Bennett, entrepreneur; and Patrick Graney, chairman of One Stop Stores.

Nominees are not required to be a West Virginia University graduate or a college graduate.
