The WVU Career Services Center will host their 4th Annual Mocktail Party & Fashion Show on Wednesday (March 4) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bent Willey’s on Chestnut Street. The interactive event is held each year to help students hone their networking and business etiquette skills.

The evening will include a fashion show. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch their fellow coeds walk the runway in the latest business fashions and conclude in a business casual setting where students can network with recruiters while enjoying appetizers provided by the Vintage Room.

Recruiters from various industries including Mylan, CVS Health and Target will be present to provide individualized feedback and professional guidance to participants.

“The Mocktail Party & Fashion Show provides our students with an opportunity to develop new skills in a fun learning environment,” said WVU Career Services Center assistant director Sarah Rotruck Glenn. “This event will expose students to the importance of communication and interviewing skills, etiquette and ethics necessary in today’s competitive job market.”

A $10 reservation fee is required to hold a spot, but will be returned in the form of a $10 WVU Bookstore (Barnes & Noble) gift card in a gift bag filled with valuable discount coupons and information about other available resources.

Students who stay until the conclusion of the event will be eligible to win grand prizes, including an iPad Mini and a Beats by Dr. Dre portable speaker.

Space is limited. Interested students are encouraged to register today.
