R. Scott Crichlow, director of the WVU John D. Rockefeller IV School of Policy and Politics, issued the following statement Monday (Feb. 16) on the death of Neil Berch, associate professor of political science:

“I am sad to report the passing of Dr. Neil Berch. Dr. Berch, who earned degrees from Princeton University and the University of Washington, had been a member of the Department of Political Science since 1992. Around campus he was probably best known for teaching State and Local Politics, a course that serves several majors at WVU, and for his lengthy, committed service as the coach of the award-winning WVU Debate Team. He will be missed.”
