The West Virginia University Chamber Winds will present a concert at the Creative Arts Center on Sunday, Feb. 15.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre and is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Professor of Music John Weigand, the ensemble will perform “Siegfried-Idyll” by Richard Wagner (1813-1883), and following a brief intermission, “Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel” by Johannes Brahms (1833-1897).

WVU music students in the Chamber Winds ensemble include: Amanda Cook and Mirim Lee, on flutes; Evan Klein and Alicia Smith, on oboes; Chris Bowmaster, Cody Dixon and Yu-Ting Chen, on clarinets; Ida Cawley, Claire Wayne and Lucia Zung, on bassoons; Nick Gasemy, Lauren Harris and Chase Phillips, on horns; Diego Gabete-Rodriguez, on violins; Courtney Grant, on violas; Ashley Driscoll, on cellos; and Donnie Young, on bass.
