Deciding where to attend college is one of the most life-changing steps you can take. The decision becomes more complex when you’re in a minority group looking for others like you succeeding on campus.

The STARS program (Students Achieving and Reaching for Success) at West Virginia University is preparing freshman African-American students for college life at the University through academic training, bonding activities and cultural immersion.
